Education: BA Theatre Arts, University of Akron

A professional actress and vocalist, Megan Elk has appeared onstage regionally with Porthouse, Actor's Summit, Saints and Poets, Squonk Opera, Cleveland Public Theatre, The Cleveland Museum of Art, and The Cleveland Ingenuity Festival. As a member of the internationally renown New World Performance Laboratory, Megan has assisted in the facilitation of voice and movement workshops throughout Europe and the United States, has composed original choral works for three world-premiere performances, and has developed her own solo cabaret performance, Stairway to Paradise. In addition to her extensive performance biography, Ms. Elk has served as a guest artist and teacher for theAkron Public Schools After-school program, The Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts, The Lock 3 Summer Arts Experience, and The Northeast Ohio Dance Company. Megan is the recipient of the Gene Kelly Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre,The Kennedy Center ACTF Award for Meritorious Achievement in Music, and numerous awards from the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
