Gayle Getts received her Master of Music degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and her Bachelor of Music degree from Baldwin-Wallace College where she specialized in piccolo. Presently, Ms. Getts is an active freelance musician playing over 150 performances annually. She has performed at John Carroll University, St. Christopher Church in Rocky River, with the Cleveland Symphonic Winds, and for Access to the Arts. Numerous students have gone on to major in music, earning masters degrees, playing in professional orchestras, teaching music and winning national music competitions. She has studied with Alexander Murray, formerly principal flutist of the London Symphony and William Hebert, piccolo player of The Cleveland Orchestra, for eight years. Ms. Getts is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
