Violinist Emily Cornelius received her M. M.
degree with honors from the New England Conservatory in 2007, and
she holds a B.M. degree (2005) from the Oberlin Conservatory.
Emily has joined a number of ensembles since relocating to
Cleveland from Richmond, Virginia, five years ago.
She is first violinist and acting concertmaster of the Canton
Symphony, principal second violinist with the Blue Water Chamber
Orchestra, concertmaster of the Heights Chamber Orchestra, and
first violinist with the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra.
Emily has also served as assistant concertmaster of CityMusic
Cleveland, and as a member of Opera Cleveland.
Emily made her solo debut at age fifteen and has since appeared
as soloist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond
Philharmonic, the Canton Symphony, the Breckenridge Music Festival
Orchestra, and the Heights Chamber Orchestra. She is also a
