Dominic Tancredi:  Percussion

Dominic Tancredi

Instruments: Drum Set, Percussion

Style: Rock, Funk, Marching, Pipe Band, Classical

Education: Baldwin-Wallace College; studied privately with Stanton Moore, Steve Bowman, Jim Payne, Jim Kilpatrick and others

Dominic Tancredi has been playing the "real" drums since the age of five, graduating from his mother's pots and pans, and now makes a living in the music industry. As a freelance musician he has recorded several full-length studio albums and performed with countless ensembles in every genre from Rock to Rockabilly in dive clubs and packed arenas around the US, Canada and UK. His "day job" is creating custom drum head logo art for world-touring musicians through his company WoodshedPercussion.com.

Dominic enjoys teaching students of every age and ability in private lessons and small ensembles. In addition to teaching private drum lessons, Dominic has conducted drum clinics for the Percussive Arts Society, worked with numerous percussion ensembles, high school and college marching band and pipe band drum lines and more. He stresses practical, real-world skills to help students get on stage as quickly as possible and have fun making music.
