Chris Baker has been playing the drums since the age of ten, and began performing professionally at the age of twelve.  His experience in playing with jazz, rock, R&B, funk, latin, classical, and new music ensembles has made him one of the most versatile players in the area.

Chris moved to Illinois after high school to begin work on a BA in percussion performance at the prestigious University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign School of Music.  During his time in Illinois, Chris taught private lessons and performed with a wide variety of musical ensembles.  He also became involved with The Archipelago Ensemble, a group which travels to high/middle schools across the country teaching private lessons as well as master classes on music theory, music history, and music appreciation.
