Andréa Belding, violinist, began studying the Suzuki Violin Method at the age of six in her hometown of Geneva, NY. Her teachers in high school included Janis Butler, Sanford Reuning, and Linda Case of Ithaca, NY. Andréa pursued her undergraduate studies with David Russell at the Cleveland Institute of Music where in May 2004, she completed her Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. She was the recipient of CIM's 2003 Dr. Jerome Gross Award in Violin. As a senior, Andréa was appointed concertmaster of the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra and served as their leader for two years. She made her professional concerto debut performing the Beethoven Concerto in December of 2005 with the CPO. Ms. Belding returned to CIM and earned her Master of Music degree in both Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy under the direction of Stephen Rose and Kimberly Meier-Sims.

Currently, Andréa teaches violin and viola at the Fairmount Center for the Arts and the Aurora School of Music. She is also a contracted member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra and the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. She performs regularly with the New World Symphony, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and the Lorain County Civic Orchestra. The last two summers were spent in Breckenridge, CO, as a member of the National Repertory Orchestra. She is the first violinist of the Black River String Quartet which is in residence at the Lorain County Community College in Elyria, OH.
